OUR BABY SLEEPS!

WAHOO! just thought i would let everybody know that little andy slept thru the night last night! he fell asleep around 10 or so? i am not sure, but he slept thru the night! i fed him at 6:25, but he wasnt even crying yet, he was just laying in his bed. hes getting SO big too, his newborn pictures definitely look different. we have taken 152 new photos , but i will only be able to post a few. oh and last night he was 8 weeks old exactly. and tomarrow he is getting blessed, so today we are going up to the valley, and getting pictures with the jacobsons family, jen, sam, heidi, karlee, katie and kortney (they LOVE andrew, they try very hard to help me with EVERYTHING and they sing to him, and read him books, and they think he is just so cute!), and dans mom margo, and i want to get one of me and dan and baby. but andy seems to like all the people, he doesnt really complain, and i think hes interested in all the new faces. he laughed 3 days ago! and 2 days ago, but not yesterday. both times it was for me, and nobody else was around to see, and he smiles lots, but i havnt gotten him to laugh again. enjoy the pics! there are some pics from tuscon and his 1st haircut- which he hated!

so my dentist said i had to get a root canal...

yes. i had one today. it really stunk. i mean it didnt hurt so bad, i kept telling myself it was in my head that it would hurt, the sound of the drilling and vibrating from the drills just kept me very nervous. like one of these times all of a sudden they will hit something not numb... i dont know. just not a comfortable experience. i wore long pants because i thought it would be cold in the dentists office, but i was so nervous the whole time i was like sweating. pants were not a good idea. but it went pretty well.. i had the root canal, and then a "build up" material put there because a lot of my tooth was gone, and they have a temp crown on, for 6-8 weeks because they thought they might have found some more decay in a spot they couldnt see before , so they are waiting to see if it goes away with the antibiotics or something like that. so wish me luck!! otherwise they will have to remove the whole tooth. not good! and my jaw and that side of my mouth is a little sore, so im gona go take some tylenol and my antibiotic and get ready for bed. little andrew is doing well by the way, dans mom is down for the week! so that has been very helpful, she's helped us organize the house and move in. so its looking MUCH better than it did ... of course if it looked worse after unpacking and putting away i would have a problem on my hands wouldnt i... well i will try to get some pictures up, i got my camera back from our old house today.

a look at the past.

Here are a few pictures from 5/4 when dans daddy came down to visit. he emailed them so i posted some. we have been keeping busy down here. today we had lunch with another investor and just kinda picked his brain a little on what he does, he was coached (still is coached) by the guy who coached us. so that was kinda cool. and its been getting hot down here. we are moved in (not compeltely) into my moms house in casa grande, so thats nice, its so great to have all this extra room, we got almost 1000 more sq feet! and its furnished! i LOVE sleeping on a real bed, thats off the ground! and im so excited to move all my clothes into my OWN dresser. haha me and dan have always shared, and theres never enough room. and its getting fun unloading all andrews stuff into his room, there is a queen bed in there til after his family come down, and then after that we will look at cribs. for now, his little bassinet is great. he still sleeps in our room because he hasnt started sleeping 8 hrs yet, its usually about 6. which is GREAT but at 3 or 4 i dont want to have to go into another room to get him. anyways, so thats our update, sorry i havnt posted much lately, its become a once a week thing, but im very very busy. lots to do! i will post more this weekend though, he's 7 weeks today!

Hello world i am 6 weeks old!!!

I am 6 weeks old as of friday! wahoo! im doing great, last night i went to sleep at 1:45 (we were up moving and stuff) and slept til 5:45!!! what a good night! i am a very good baby. i love to eat and im getting very big! since my mom put batteries in my swing, i like that too:). i am around 10 pounds.
i would have gotten more/ maybe better pictures but our camera ran out of batteries, and i could only find one new battery and i had already thrown the others away. anyways, yes andrew is doing great! he should be going in to the doctor this week, he should have gone last week but we need to schedule him an appt. so i will find out his exact weight and length/height soon. last night we slept in our new house (moms) and we were very tired, we slept VERY well. even though we hadnt gotten the memory foam over there yet. we got the buttermilk, but dan didnt bring any flour or eggs or anything else for waffles... and this morning i was shaking up some batter i had from a couple days ago, and the lid to the container flew off, and the batter flew all over me. RIGHT before church. in my hair, all down my front, on my legs, the rug, you name it. so i had to scrounge some clothes (because i had already taken all the clothes i wear to the house , i was already ready...). anwyays. but then after church took a good nap, visit taught, and now we are just getting some food here at the "old house" before going to our new home.

An unexpected blessing...

yesterday we discovered an unexpected blessing. all this time we thought not closing on the house (or rather that our loan didnt fund so the closing was useless) was a bad thing. but come to find out yesterday they dropped prices on our house $30k. so we would have bought our house for $30K more than they are now selling them for. i mean we had already CLOSED, we are SO lucky it didnt work out. we are lucky dan chose to use ben our loan officer, and that he chose a bank that went under. i never thought i would see that as a positive thing...sometimes we are being watched out for despite ourselves ya know? they builder did offer to lower our price , not completely i dont think to where we could rebuild one at, but if we rebuild one, i would get a comission of 5% , which i would have to split with the broker i work for. but still thats good. and it just seems better that we move into my moms for 6 months and rebuild a house, we can actually get a house 800 sq ft bigger than our house for the same price now, its 3901 sq ft, for 215. (without upgrades.). and, we lost our down money for this house, but the new builds are offering MUCH less required down. so that would be good. but anyways, so we havnt gone and signed for another house yet, but we are moving into my moms house, that will give us some more room, and dan can finish their yard. i think it will be good. i feel good about it. the new house we would build is in audreys ward, so that would be a change of wards for us. but i think that would be good too. it would be wierd at first, like it always is when you switch wards, but i think we would like it. well, thats the update for now. we have officially cancelled our contract.

Bath time

here is a picture of his 2nd bath, at first he was in the little hammock, in the baby bathtub, and then we just took him in the shower, so this is the 2nd bath thats like a real bath for him. he really likes the water! i feel bad taking him out.

Andrew 5 weeks

here are some pictures, sorry i havnt updated. we have just been busy. no word on the house yet, we are not sure if we are getting it or not. kind of a long story. so we'll probably figure that out tomorrow. happy mothers day to all you mothers out there! enjoy the pictures, andy is getting bigger. saturday night a lady from my ward said he didnt even look like a newborn anymore! its hard to think he's changed so much because i see him all the time. he usually does ok sleeping, except last night..he woke up at like 1:30, 3:30, 4:45, pretty much a lot. but usually if he doesnt go to sleep and eats right at like 10, and i put him to bed, he usually sleeps til 3, and one time almost 4, and then gets up again at like 5 or 6. and then stays up til 8 or 9. not always awake but kinda more of an awake time around there. he smiles at us, he has been doing that a couple weeks, i think around 3 weeks he started doing that when you talk to him , he likes that a lot. hes still a very good baby, hes quick to calm down if he knows hes going to get fed, and thats usually the only time he cries. unless he needs to burp, and sometimes when hes REALLy tired he fusses a little until he can get to sleep. but the baby language video has really helped! i think i would have figured out what was wrong probably anyways, but its nice to know right away what he needs.

1 month old

today is andrews 1 month birthday! it was also his first time out to church, we didnt have any little slacks for his shirt, but the shirt was good. he was in a blanket anyways. and dans dad came down to see him friday and saturday. andy's been cooing while he eats or sleeps a lot. its really cute, and he also started following you if you move, and smiling at you! and i havnt weighed him, but he's feeling heavier, and he just seems like hes growing a lot!
