goodnight moon

well, its been a long day today. a long couple weeks. a move has been looming over our heads for about a month now, and as much of a hassle it is, its almost a relief because i don't have to think about it anymore. not after monday! we got lots done today, we had sam and tom and dans dad and stepmom (theresa) and her son matt (davids age) came down to entertain andrew for me, and help wrap glass things and pack. that was SO helpful! andrew loved playing with them! and michelle made dinner for the WHOLE crew!!! wahooo! it was REALLy good too. homemade pizza!! and really tasty garlic bread. tom and michelle have been there for us so much this week! we literally could not have done it without them!!! michelle watched andrew nearly every day this week (i think today was the only exception, because we had other help) and it was SOO nice! she would feed him, and put him down for naps, he pretty much spent the whole day there. so i got lots done so we could be mostly ready for today. you NEVER really are ready when you actually go to move. but i think we are pretty close. so i cant complain. we just have a few big things for tomorrow (i always want to spell that 'tomarrow' because thats how i pronounce it). by the way did anybody notice i found some songs from August Rush for my blog. that movie was one that i keep thinking about. it was one that really impacted me. made me think a lot. kind of like when you have a dream that seems SO real, and it sticks with you like it actually happened, because you can't get it off your mind, how you felt and how things were going. thats how this movie was. the son is separated from his mother at birth, and pretty much homeless, and the mom is looking for her son.. and the dad is looking for the mom (he never knew there was a son). but it just made me think a lot. it was really sad how they were separated all those years. and the music was phenomenal. i loved it. i just couldn't imagine being separated from andrew. that would just be awful. well, i think i am going to bed. in my bed , in my house for the last night ever. i REALLY doubt i will ever sleep in this house again.. andrew doesn't even know, but its his last night in his crib for a LONG time. well, good night moon. good night world. wish us luck tomorrow that we will be able to get everything out, and that on monday we will have the house clean enough to get our deposit back. if they don't give it back it will be because they are being nasty, because we've only lived here 6 months. so hopefully they are honest. and then we take off tues morning! sorry for no pics, i actually had a really funny video i was going to post. but my computer is not recognizing my card AT ALL. im a little worried. thats not good. because its probably NOT the computer. the card is MUCH older. more like the card reader probably has the problem though. anyways, brooklyn was running thru my back blinds and it was making andrew laugh SO hard! it was funny. and then just some other funny pics, of andrew and brooklyn following and playing with each other... well, sorry this was long. but i'll catch up with you later!

Fun at the Park

Well today was just a warm sunny day, so we walked over to tom and michelle's park. brooklyn climbed the whole rock wall! then tom went to the top and got her while michelle made sure she didnt fall. she LOVED it. and them tom took the girls down the slide (and for some reason those pictures said "corrupt" so i couldnt get them) but brooklyn loved the slide too. i took andrew down, and kenze went with tom and brooklyn. so now its back to packing....

Easter and The Mayan

Mom and Andrew at Easter Egg Hunt sat morning.

So here are lots of pics from easter egg hunt yesterday, a local neighborhood one and then we went out to the Mayan with tom and michelle, and then today we did andrews hair spikey ( i love it like that but it kind of died down) and tom and michelle did a little easter egg hunt at their house today and we ate easter dinner there, and then played Apples to Apples. and now we are home and andrews asleep. hes been a LITTLE better about eating food. yesterday and the day before he ate one or two meals, and it made a HUGE difference, he slept so much better. last night didnt wake up at all until 8:30 this morning. i can handle that! tonight he was NOT wanting food. so i was borderline force-feeding him. but he finished the jar! and not once did he mean to open up for food. i thought i did a pretty good job considering the amount of cooperation i was getting. well enjoy the pics, there will be probably more than you need to see. but i like to post them anyways.Oh and there are some cool pics of the divers at the Mayan where we ate. and there is some of andy in his carseat, which we turned forward facing... and some of him and his cars, he likes to crawl with them under his hands..

A SMALL STEP FOR MAN, A GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND

Andrew took his first steps today!! Andy and I went over to tom and michelle's on a little walk, and while we were there, he was standing, and tom said "did you know he can stand this good?" and i kinda was like, yah when he wants to he is really good at it, and then he took a step! and then over the next 5 or 10 minutes he took many steps!! GO andrew! and he also ate some chicken for dinner tonight. i was thrilled , he hasn't had an appetite for ANYTHING lately, and hes back into waking up a couple times every night, only he wakes up and cries when i lay him down, so it takes like literally an hour to get him back to sleep. NOT COOL. so hopefully have some chicken tonight will help get him thru the night!! crossing my fingers. because as much as i think it will be great to have another baby around, i can't even start to think about it until he's eating real food, and sleeping thru the night... consistently. so it may be a while guys... in exactly one week from today, we will have moved lots of stuff out of our house already... kinda sad in a way, but very exciting to think of the adventure ahead. tomorrow we are planning on going on an easter egg hunt at 10 am with andy, and tom and michelle and kz and brooklyn. by the way, kenzie took a few steps as well! after the egg hunt we might go swimming with tom and michelle and then go eat at the Mayan, me and dan went there last when we were dating, or maybe first married...but its been a LONG time so before we leave town we wanted to hit that place. anyways, well im going to go get ready for bed. talk to ya later! sorry no video or anything of him walking, i didnt have my camera. tom got it on his video camera though... oh yah, i saw I AM LEGEND tonight, woa didnt see that coming! i had no idea it was sort of a scary movie. i kept having to try to distract andy, we were watching it in toms basement with surround sound and all that, and andy was quite interested, and i was scared, so i thought he would be REALLY scared , and i dont want him having nightmares, or night terrors (which he sometimes gets, those suck because you cant do anything about them.. once he had them off an on until like 2:30 am). so now that i thikn he might sleep thru the night because hes got food, i didnt want bad dreams ruining it. not that i would EVER want him to have bad dreams . but anyways, so that was a pretty interesting movie, a little scary/gory , but it was alright. well, goodnight.

Well, maybe not. but you might have thought so to look at the crowd we had sunday night! Nicole & Britt Legrow, John Stutz, Ron Kent (and Katie his GF) , Jeremy & Crystal, Jayden and Kjersti (their babies) Long, and me and dan and mary! ps i hope you all like marys video. i know i did...it was a lot of fun to see everybody. it was the first time i saw britt in i think 4 years or something around there. So heres a couple pics to enjoy. We LEAVE in 2 weeks! this day 2 weeks from now we will be loading our car ready to head the next day!!! WAHOOOOOOOO!!

So tonight we had carly (formerly Nordquist) and her husband Robby over for dinner. it was really fun to catch up with her! their family (like ours) has grown up so much since we saw them last. its been since i was 14. thats the last time i saw them. thats a LONG time... anyways, and some funny pics of andy, he loves chasing dans basketball around the tile, and today he started turning on the ball popper and biting it. it was pretty funny, i think it feels good because it sort of vibrates and maybe hes teething. or maybe its just feels funny. AND good news, we got LOTS of packing today. we were blessed- andrew slept like over 3 hours! thats UNHEARD of for him!! i was trilled.

Weekend Update ....As the world turns...

So i thought i would post something. i have been having trouble with my blog. has anyone else? anytime i go there, it makes my browser not respond. i have to force quit every time. so it gets annoying. but i will post for you. we have good news, we are going to be able to get out of our lease with a lease buy out, so thats good news for us, because it will save us a lot. we saw the apartments we will move into april 5. well, im not sure exactly WHICH one, but we saw 2 sets of apartments by the same builder i think, and its one of the two we were told. they both looked REALLY nice. way more than i was expecting. seeing dans apartment they put him in in OMaha, i was expecting a really crappy one. i think he was too, dan was really surprised at how not junky they were. so im glad about that. nice pools ect too. i am really excited to get going. i wish i could just move out now, because when you know you have a couple weeks, and in my case like 2, you just don't get going. and when youre not going, you are just sitting there thinking, i need to get going. but not just yet, because i still live here. and i dont want my baby choking on random things that might fall out of a box. or eating old tape from an old box. tomarrow jen and margo are coming down to help pack things up. thats gona be nice. im gona get things like pictures and decorations packed. so i dont really feel at home anymore, because you need those things to really feel like you live there. and once i feel like i dont really live here anymore, it will be much easier the keep the ball (or the boxes) rolling. we looked at storage units today. trying to size up our lot, and thats hard to do when you see a very small room and try to imagine ALL your stuff in there... it must be some sort of art to be able to accurately size up a storage unit. so by andrews 1st birthday, i just now thought of think as i was writing, he will be in Virginia, in his new place. that will make..1..2..3. 4 places he will have lived his little life. woa! and 3 states! this kid gets around! i was 10 before i hit the 3 state mark. anyways, this is getting to be a long post. this weekend, friday i am having narly carly and her husband over for dinner, and saturday a jacobson night for jens birthday, sunday a group of omaha'ns like john stutz, ron kent and girlfriend, mary, britt legrow and we are trying to get amos and jeremy to come too. and then monday and tuesday jessi (formerly cornelius, unsure of new name as of today though) is going to come hang out with my because her husband has meetings those days in SLC. so after THAT we will REALLY get packing. then i will have like a week and a half. actual moving dates are the 28 and 29th of march, with our walkthru monday the 31st at 5 pm in which we should get our deposit back. Here we go.......

I can stand for a couple seconds at a time!!

I LOVE getting into everything and anything! especially cupboards, and drawers, but i often smash my fingers and i seem to be a little clumsy when i crawl on the tile, i fall over and it my head sometimes...
