Here are some pictures of me and Andrew, i love these little overalls! We had a ward party last night, taco salad get together because of so many new families always moving into the ward. We also went swimming yesterday but forgot our camera. there was this bug, dan thought it was a bee, but it kinda looked like a horse fly, that bit me, and then swam away, yes swam, it was underwater, and there were a couple of these bugs that kept coming around us, and its bite really hurt, so i made dan switch pools (there was a heated lap pool, which wasnt so refreshing at 108*), but i think one of those buys may have gotten andrew because there was time he almost cried, but held it back. i dont know if it was because he was almost asleep and we took him in the pool and woke him up , or the dumb bug. but it wasnt cool! other than that it felt great to swim. we're definatly looking forward to going to salt lake for labor day weekend. no dates set yet though, so we may end up driving regardless because it may get too late to fly. does anybody know the status of what you have to bring for babies on airplaneS? i havnt sent in for his birth certificate yet (i know i know , its filled out and just sitting here). but does anybody know what documentation if any you must have for a baby on a plane? i mean he looks just like dan everybody says, thats better proof than paper right? haha. well, i shall go now.

just some pictures i took for your enjoyment. andrew is such a happy little guy. today we were tickling him, his feet and legs are especially ticklish. he wore himself out, and then fell asleep. he was watching his mobile. i love his little baby body! he loves bathes so much, these were taken after his bath today. he has been kicking as soon as he hits the water, i am usually quite wet and his baby bathtub is usually nearly empty because he kicks the water out so fast. and i wonder if he's starting to teethe maybe because he grabs my fingers and whatever else he can, and bites down on them with his gums, and hes been really slobbery at times. its funny too he really is starting to watch us eat, the other morning he watched me eat every bite of my egg sandwich and he tried stealing some for himself about half way thru. it was funny. but with the allergies in this family he will be eating rice cereal til he's 3! haha jk. but realy , he will not get everything for a while;)

trying to roll

well andrew still hasnt gotten exactly how you roll over, he tries, but he gets so frustrated. he was sort of really loud and i think he has had a stomach ache this morning because he was so loud and not realy screaming but he didnt sound to comfortable. and he always pulls his one ear, so i wondered if he had an ear infection, but he just went in for his 4 mo checkup the 7th, and they checked his ears. so we'l see , i put him on his belly so maybe that would help his tummy if that was the problem, that seemed to help, and finally he went down for a nap. we had a killer storm 2 night ago, the wind was just hitting the front windows sideways, so loud i could barely hear anything, andrew was sleeping in a porta-crib right in front of the window, lightning and thunder and wind beating the window, he didnt even wake up! i was SO surprised he slept thru that. so many trees were down the next day, and some flooding. i will put up some pics of that. anyways, not much else new.

Andrews Cup

so i think it was saturday or friday, andrew saw me drinking a cup and he started grabbing it. then yesterday at dinner, i was drinking a glass and andrew kept grabbing it and trying to pull it to his own mouth. it was pretty funny. we had a good weekend, saturday wasnt too full of anything, but sunday we had church, that was good, then we had been invited to a couples house for dinner, along with another family, and then after that we went over to see camie and rhett, they moved about a year ago from casa grande, and we played games with them, she was at her moms and her sister was there, so it was a lot of fun, we didnt get home until about 11:30 or something, it was fun to see everybody though, they are such a nice family. oh and i made the artichoke spinach dip (never thought i'd like something with either of those in them!) and it was a big hit at dinner! thanks maar!

4 month report

Yesterday andrew went in for his 4 month checkup and shots. he didnt cry until the 3rd shot. then he stopped screaming after i picked him up, so he did better this time. i had given him tylenol a little bit before he got the shots, and i think that helped. so here are his stats: weight - 15 pounds 9 oz. height- the nurse said 24 1/2 in. but that would mean he grew 1/2 inch the last 2 months.. i dont think thats quite accurate, i measured him myself and i think hes more like 25 inches. head - 41 1/2 cm around. i think he still doesnt feel too well, so i have him on some tylenol again today. and the lady who watch him this morning (we did sealings at the temple) she had a bouncer and a kick and play, or hit and play i should say, its for hands, that she let us borrow because her baby outgrew them. so he is loving those. he especially loves the hit and play. he's played with that a lot. hes still a happy baby, and he is getting happier all the time it seems like. hes very quick to laugh, and he loves to make that sound when you suck air in and sort of laugh, its funny. he does that a lot. dan was playing playstation and i put andrew on his lap, and andrew was grabbing dans fingers and pulling them away from the controller and then pushing the buttons, it was pretty funny. he was getting pretty excited about that. he has been sleeping thru the night really well lately too, from like 8 or 9 until 5 or so, then going back to sleep til 6 or 7. so thats been great. and he gives us kisses all the time, whether or not he knows what hes doing, i dont know, but he seems to have some idea maybe...anyways, thats our update for the little guy! oh and last night i thought i felt something crawl on my arm, so we turned the light on and dan was like oh it was probly my arm or something, so we went back to bed, and then dan felt something crawl on his leg so he jumped up and turned the light on, and there was this thing in our bed, we dont know what it was, it had 10 limbs , and the front 2 and the back 2 were much longer than the middle ones, and it was light cream sort of colored, the body was long and skinny, the body extened past the point where the legs connected , yet no scorpion tail, we thought at first it was a scorpion. it was about as long in the body as a thumbnail i am thinking, and all parts were pretty skinny. it was really fast too, but we caught it and flushed it down the toilet, but it made going to sleep a little less fun. anybody have any idea what that might have been?

I'm 1 day shy of 4 months old!

Its the first time he's gotten a ball, and he loved it! dan said he knows what he's going to start giving him, he couldnt figure out why he hadnt given him balls before! haha.

For the Sake of Sharing

Here is a picture of the latest im working on, its just a start, i have a lot to yet, and a lot to 'brush up on' if you know what i mean;). its been since last april or may since i have painted, over a year ago!!! i just decided to do some things i've been needing and wanting to do. i went running this morning, but i am so out of shape it didnt last too long, over the last week i have been running a couple times, if i join a soccer team in sept i need to be able to run;). so then after andrew went to sleep i decided to start a painting. i didnt try to finish in one day, i am going to try to work on this one a little longer and maybe it will be a little better once i get the hang of things again. i found myself using brushes that were too big for my purposes, and i found myself lost several times , where i was not looking for a specific goal, just sort of dabbing here and there. so i am trying to teach myself over what i have lost. but just thought i'd share my progress for the sake of sharing.

good morning america

just a little hello. Andrew is almost 4 months, on the 6th. hes a little sleepy. we were going to the cholla house to do laundry and dan was gona do yard work, but decided to wait til this evening, we are both so tired for some reason. and andrew has been sleeping so well the last 3 nights, he has gone to bed at like 8 and slept til about 5 or 6. somewhere around there, its been nice. i think its his new bed, i think he sleeps better than in the bassinet.

Lion Friend

im a little tired now mom....
Here are some cute pics i took last night of him and his lion friend, thanks maar, he LOVEs all the little animals you sent him. they always make him laugh. also last night was a big night for andrew, he moved to a porta-crib (until we get a real crib), since his bassinet was getting too small. i think he slept much better. he slept until a little before sunrise. thats about 4-5 am. so thats pretty good.he went down at 9ish and got up at like 7:30 or so for the morning.
