What a view!! and we had the PERFECT day out at sea. calm as glass, and a friend of my dads is a charter guide, so he took us out , we had him and the boat all to ourselves. it was a bigger boat than my dads, with a cabin equipped with benches and a door. and a hard top, so it was nice. i think andy may have had a bit of sea sickness at first, but got over that. he was sort of bored on the boat because i would not let him down to run, they had a bucket of water in the middle of the boat for rinsing your hands, and cleaning the deck and that, and so i didnt want him getting in that. they have a trap door that is in the belly of the boat we put the fish in, every body limited out , no huge ones, but good size, probably 20 to 40 pounds each.
he HATED that life jacket around his neck.

Okay well dan has been really asking for some pictures, so i thought OKAY! we have pictures from Halibut fishing, my mom got andy a chocolate pudding, and went for something so he helped himself, and some from his fun in the tub. i will try to get you video, hopefully it will work! i am on my moms computer, so maybe that will make a difference. YAY i see video!! i dont dare try watching it, i am just going to assume it all went to play. we miss you dan-o!! i love you!!!!!!!!

a little update...

SO, sorry i have not posted anything recently. i figured i would let you know why. Dan flew to salt lake last week, on wed, he booked his ticket tues and left in the morning, so it was quite a fast get away. so if you haven't been informed about his leaving, thats why. hes still looking and waiting for jobs, and im up in alaska, but in 2 weeks i fly back to salt lake. i am very much looking forward to the summer weather. its just not been a good summer up here and im sick of cold and wet days! i cant wait to take andy to the park, and he is even more sick of the indoors than i am. he is obsessive about wearing his shoes at all times, and so i put them out of sight. so yesterday he spent ALL day trying to put on emma's pink croc's, and finally was able to get them on just before he went to bed. he started that today, but i just decided to get his own on him so he didn't get so frustrated. anyways, i am not really going to bother much with pictures until i get back to utah where dan has our computer, because my moms is very slow, and i don't have the patience. some pictures i will load when i get down there- him in nursery. my mom is a nursery leader at church, so the whole time we've been up here he has been going to nursery, (its sometimes hard but hes getting it). hes so cute though when he sits at the table so nicely and eats his snack just like the other kids, and then sits and sings with them, hes just so cute. and then in the tub he discovered he can pour water over his head , and he was laughing SOOOO hard. i got some video so hopefully i can get it to load. its too cute. anyways, i better get going.

Russian River Falls

he was so fussy...so unusual for him. we were outside, which he usually just LIVES for, and he even had a binki, which im trying to wean him from, so usually he only gets it at night, and he got a 3 hr nap right before we left, and lunch, so i concluded maybe its simply a molar coming in , or he had gotten his first ear infection but hes been on his med. for that so it shouldnt still bother him... anyways. when my mom asked him on the drive home if he had fun he promptly shook his head NO. she asked a couple times, because at first i thought it was an accident or coincidence, but i think he knew what she was saying, and i think he just didnt have a good time.

at the falls. the best pic we got. not ideal, but its alright. andy was so cranky i had to show him the water, and then on 3 spin around for the camera before he started whining.

you just cant get close enough these days! he was sticking his foot thru the bars trying to get closer.
the stairs he fell down and got a big mark inbetween his eyes on his nose.
andy loved running down this driveway and yelling as he runs. its pretty funny. he does tend to get ahead of himself though, and still falls kind of a lot when running down hill.

Well yesterday we went and hiked the Russian River Falls hike. its about 2.3 mi in to the falls. andy i dont think was feeling well, he was SO cranky, the whole way back nearly he cried. he did fall at the overlook on one of the steps, he turned around backwards for one step, how he is supposed to go down stairs, and then he looked at my mom and got up and stuck a foot forward , all the while eyeing my mom because he knows its against the rules for him, so he did it, and fell, and got a big scratch on his nose. well, i tried to upload a video, but i've had trouble. it just says "uploading video...your video will appear here when finished", but it never shows up. and before when i would add video it would say there was an error. does anybody else have problems adding video? it doesnt even say what percent is done, or what process its in, just that its "uploading video (of) Cancel" so thats all it says at the bottom of the page. i think i may terminate the video because its not going anywhere. and its been uploading for probably half an hour. .. okay well, i cancelled it and im reloading it, so this time it says processing, hopefully it works.. its not THAT cool, its just the falls and you can see one salmon jump, we saw many, and theres a little green and wooden box that they have built to help the salmon up the falls. its called a salmon ladder or something. the fish move up there pretty quickly, i guess from the mouth of the river to the area they spawn up there only takes them 3 days. i dont think i could walk that distance in 3 days... its a LONG ways. pretty amazing little animals. well the video wasn't working... so maybe i'll try again. later.
