My baby this week.

here is a report of my baby this week! and utah is going well, its funny it gets so chilly in the morning and night, and i feel like i've never experienced that before, it feels so foreign. not many showed at dans reuinion, but oh well. win some ya lose some...
How your baby's growing: Head to bottom, your baby's 3 1/2 inches long — about the length of a lemon — and weighs about 1 1/2 ounces. Her body's growing faster than her head, which now sits upon a more well-defined neck. By the end of this week, her arms will have lengthened and will be in proportion to the rest of her body. (Her legs still have some growing to do, though.) She's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair all over her body (called lanugo). Her liver starts secreting bile this week, a sign that it's already functioning properly, and her spleen starts contributing to the production of red blood cells. She's also producing and discharging urine into the amniotic fluid, a normal process that she'll keep up until birth. You still can't feel your baby's movements, but her hands and feet (which are now half an inch long) are more flexible and active. Thanks to brain impulses, her little facial muscles are getting a workout as she squints, frowns, and grimaces. She can grasp now, too, and she may be able to suck her thumb.
isnt that neat! wow. and i am getting a little bump for those of you who wonder... i will try to get a picture posted or something. well conference is starting.

Almost done....

so im almost done with school!! i think i will be graduating oct 14 or 13 , whatever friday is of that week. it should be oct 10, but i have missed a couple days and will miss a couple more before then to go up to utah. i hate to keep adding to my bill, i have to pay for each day i makeup, and i hate to prolong my stay...but i love the fall in utah, so what to do? what to do? it will all work out... im sure. it always does. im excited though to stay home, hopefull the day care paperwork and stuff wont take too long, i have my stuff basically, i still need plugs in all the outlets, my medicine/cleaners locked up, a fire extinguisher (sp?), and thats about it. and my 5 yr work history that i will have to track down. i had saved all my foster care paperwork we didnt ever turn in, because it was finished so i thought when i need stuff like this i can just go look and copy it, but dan i think said he threw it away.. dang ! it would have been so easy that way... but it wont be too hard. so today i have visiting teaching in about 1/2 hour, and then im not sure what else is going on. i was supposed to be practicing my test out today all day at school, i was marked off the books for it, but tamra and allyssa were gone, so my teacher said they werent gona go thru it today because they missed their day, so i said to her, i says "but i didint miss my day" i was present..that wasnt really fair to punish me for attending school... so i did really nothing today. i did makeup on my doll, and thats pretty much it. i was pretty mad about it, because theres just so many dumb things like that at school that go on, but i have decided im almost out, i dont have too much energy left to care about it. because it doesnt change anything, i tell the director of the school and nothing changes... anyways! enough about school. well, the pregnancy im glad to say is going well. i've been feeling good, wanting salad (for those of you who know me, its kinda out of character!), and im starting to be able to eat meat in things now. im 13 weeks by the way, i will be 14 weeks saturday. and my belly is definatly starting to poke out a bit. welp, thats it for today!

its a great day at artistic beauty college!

here are a couple pictures from when mary and mom came in for facials, mary got a back facial, mom a european facial. it was so fun to have someone i know come in!! moms went well, my parafin mask was not heated up so we had to wait for that to heat up. but other than that , good. alyssa gave marys back facial, she loves doing those, and the rest of us dont really, because the beds are too short, so it hurts your back. i know your supposed to have some sort of stance while you do it, but i just dont like them. so we went over there tonight, i made a little pizza before i went over, and then found out they had put in a nice roast and potatoes and all that! man! thats okay though. i dont really want any meat at all. im feeling good, have been for a couple weeks now. its nice, i dont feel nauseous anymore. just tired, and dont want meat. but its good. i will be 12 weeks a week from saturday. so a little over a week. im almost there! anyways , so we went over to audreys tonight, the little girls of hers are so wild. they are so funny though, keep things exciting! we leave first thing in the morning for salt lake city! til sunday. so im excited to miss school! i havnt missed school since june 13. thats gotta be a record for me. if i didnt have to pay for days i missed it would have been substantially higher i think. i think i have 4 or 5 weeks left of school. then i am done!! anyways, i'll post when i get back , or up there if i have time, but i think i will be very busy!

Week 9

Here is the update for week 9! starting today. i have some pictures from audreys birthday and Candys new baby, but they are on audreys camera, and im not sure where that is. so i will try to get them up soon!
How your baby's growing: Your new resident is nearly an inch long — barely the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce, but he's poised for rapid weight gain now that his basic physical structure is in place. He's also starting to look more and more human. His embryonic "tail" is now completely gone and his body parts — including organs, muscles, and nerves — are kicking into gear.

His eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. He has earlobes, and by week's end, the inner workings of his ears will be complete. His upper lip is fully formed, too, and his mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The tips of his fingers are slightly enlarged where his touch pads are developing. All major joints — his shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles — are working, enabling your baby to move his limbs. As for his heart, it has divided into four chambers now, and the valves have started to develop. External sex organs are there, but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks.

Week 8

How your baby's growing: Your baby is now 5/8 of an inch long, about the size of a kidney bean. She's constantly moving and shifting, although you won't be able to feel these womb wiggles for several weeks yet. Her embryonic tail is disappearing, and her eyelids practically cover her eyes. Still slightly webbed, her fingers and toes are growing longer. Her arms have lengthened, too, and her hands are now flexed at the wrist and meet over her heart. Her knee joints have formed, and her feet may be long enough to meet in front of her body. With her trunk straightening out, her head is more erect. Breathing tubes extend from her throat to the branches of her developing lungs. The nerve cells in her brain are also branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. Though you may be daydreaming about your baby as one gender or another, the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl.
sorry, i couldnt get the picture up.

Oh baby!

Here are the first pictures ever taken of the baby. they are not so clear becuse i had to take a picture of the picture, and it was already a little blurry because the doctor zoomed in so we could see better, but that made it a little fuzzy. the baby was 14 mm for this picture, taken at 7 weeks 5 days. now i am 8 weeks 1 day. you can't see it in this picture, but on the screen we could see the heart beat as a flashing light... the baby is the little cluster you see at the botton of that kidney bean shaped sack.
