Aesthetics

So that is what i am going to school for. at least that is the plan. thursday morning i have a meeting up in chandler at the artistic beauty college to enroll in school there, and classes start may 1st for aesthetics. so today we went to go do splits but nobody showed up , so i talked to audrey and emma and dave (dave's pine wood derby is tonight), and then we came home to work out. so i didnt see his car race, but thats okay. his moms there. so thursday no work! im just kinda bummed i didnt set my appt for later , cause it would have been nice to work out with everybody in the am. on tue and thurs mornings i guess there is a really good aerobics class , but i am always working. and now with school, i dont see how i will ever attend! and its the only group activity i know of. i wish there was something the women did more often to exercise, like dan has basketball every morning. but i dont know if that many women have time or make time for that sort of thing. so im on my own. well , not my own, dan and audrey still like to work out with me. anyways, it rained here this morning! and for az that is saying something! it was nice! and then after school i had to go to training for Terra Nova Testing, because i will probably be helping palo verde elementary with their testing, when my long term sub begins. any day now, mrs. parzych is still pregnant. but she will have that baby any day so i will just wait i guess. thats fine with me. im a little nervous about her class. Busy Life.

Whew... i am feeling very overwhelmed with everything right now. Today i subbed for special ed at palo verde elementary, and it went fine, i had a little free time in the afternoon, so that was good, i read from the ensign (i have to read 30 more pages before tomarrow mornings breakfast..) and then some kids showed up, with nothing to do, and i had nothing for them to do, so i read to them, and then gave them a math worksheet, and then they told me i had to go to room B5 so the aid took over, so i went to B5 to find ms. underwood (the principal) in there with mrs. parzych, this very pregnant special ed teacher for students more than 2 years behind their grade level, and i guess that is the long term sub position they were asking me last night if i was interested in, so i guess i am doing it, it might start this coming monday, it was not supposed to start until the middle of april i thought. so wow. a lot sooner than i thought. and so for like an hour or more i was just in with the teacher, and walking around the school looking for her students with her (i was compeltely lost, it was a field trip today and i was just following her..)so then we came back to the classroom and she very quickly went over lesson plans and that (she will be gone SIX weeks) and i was kinda stunned. i dont really remember much of the million things she was ratteling off , there was just TOO MUCH !!!! too much to handle! way too much to process. at first i tried to keep up, but the more she kept piling on, the harder it got to remember, and things started blurring together... and by the end i just sort of had nothing to say. i didnt know what questions i would have , and i just felt very overwhelmed. these students (which many of whom she has expressed can be a handful) will be with me all day, i pick them up at 8:20, and i teach them all subjects.. wow. thats a lot to take in. her lesson plans arnt REAL detailed. they have a list of approximatly what time things go on, and what the activity or worksheet or whatever is called. i didnt even go over all that .. she briefly would point to where the materials were in the room, but again.. blurr...i feel like all this stuff just kept heaping up and up, and now its all falling off. and then there is school, i decided i think i will start school may 1st to be an aestetician , doing facials and laser hair removal, that sort of thing, and so i will go up to chandler every day for that. so until then i will be doing this long term subbing. EVERYDAY! so i will be very busy. so then there is another x factor, foster care. i have about decided not to do it. because the training is starting next week and goes for 10 weeks, every saturday, that really takes up a lot of time. and then will i have energy and time for a foster baby? i will be going to school all day, and then probably working as a tech until i can work as an aestetician at the office from like 3-7 pm, from like, well school is may-sept, and then i would be a tech just as soon as the office opens probably. so that is sort of hectic... i will be exhausted when i get home, when am i even going to work out? and art? im gona be swamped. right now im just subbing from 7:30-3:30 and im tired when i get home. so....SO MUCH GOING ON!! and then in the midst of all that, we are trying for a baby of our own, if theres anyone here who didnt know. so THATS whats going on. right now in my head ther e are a million things floating... i was going to work out with audrey today, but her foot hurts i guess, and i had to go pay the water bill anyways, and then check on another bill (that i paid but forgot), and then call the doctors office about a bill but they are closed. and i had to try to get ahold of GLoria at Artistic Beauty College to make an appt for aestetician school , and i have to do the enrollment appt and the financial aid appt in the same day because since i am a long term sub i cant just take days off all the time, i am expected to work everyday... Whew. i feel a little better now. i better go read that ensign before tomarrow. and im helping camie plan a surprise birthday party for her husband Rhett next week, oh an tomarrow we are going with the new members to see the new Joseph Smith video and ice cream... Anyways. thats whats going on... Talk to ya later!!

Here are the kids and their bunnies, they are pretty tiny little things, very well behaved so far, love cuddling and being held. So tonight i was informed they got their cage all set up. and they should be sleepin outside!

Hoppy Birthday Emma!

For Emmas Birthday, she got 2 cute baby bunnies!Their names are Princess(emma's- its the white one, and it has pink eyes because its a girl says emma) and George(who is daves and has the nickname Curious).i gotta go now, but i will post the other pictures later.

Some New Additions

Hey, here are some new additions lately, my mothers player piano, our new car (bought it yesterday!2000 acura TL), and jinx isnt new;) but look at that backyard!! basically we could have had a new pool. a little palm, and a bird plant (the flowers look JUST like birds... its cool. mom got that for us; that picture of the flowers is not our backyard, that was at disneyland, the had lots of those plants! so thats what it will look like)

I want to note, i took a picture of the artwork outside california adventures because it was so cool! it was done impressionistic style, just by small pieces put all together. it was pretty amazing!

Disneyland and California Adventures

There is one of Dan and his cute little mom, and then there is one of all of us after dinner outside. there is one of Karlee "flying". Inside the orange at california adventures is swings, and brave little karlee always put her arms out when she rode them. it was a lot of fun!
And then there are some random ones of us at disneyland, waiting in lines and what not. althought the lines werent too bad, since the weather was cold most of the time and lots of rain came, it kept the parks not too crowded.

Here is Jen, all bundled up, it was cold! haha shes so cute. what a great smile! Then there is Dan, it looks like somebody had tried to steal the crown. Then kourtney, she was so good the whole trip! cute little baby, she just likes to hang out. she can be VEry strong willed though, its funny. and then there is the group eating dinner at Ariels Grotto where the girls got to meet the princesses, which they loved! katie was like a watch dog on HIGH ALERT waiting for the princesses, her eyes were glued to the door. and then she thought it was the neatest thing in the world.

California here we are!

Another picture is Jeremy K. and me on the Maliboomer. its a ride like the stratosphere ride in vegas only you dont start out 1000 ft above ground. you start out on the ground.


Here is my and Dan, i thought it was kinda cool how they have those buildings that look like they go on forever, and they build the sidewalk up for a while, its hard to tell where the fake pictures starts and when the real buildings end , they did a very good job!

California ADVENTURES!

It was raining pretty hard. this trip was pretty cold, and rained off and on most of the time. when it rained we took shelter at the pilot restaurant.

These pictures are of Dan, me and jeremy kerrigan and his wife sarah, who is 2 mo pregnant! we happened to meet up with them at california adventures, so we spent the morning with them, eating at the Pilot, and then going on some rides with jeremy because his wife couldnt. Dan taught jeremy the discussions on his mission, then jeremy went on a mission, and has been home over a year and has been married a few months shy of a year. kinda cool!

At school

Well i am just at school. i am subbing today for special ed. i have been WAY busy. thats why i havnt posted, nothing too exciting, just busy. emma was sick yesterday, that was pretty sad. and we made emma collage. that was pretty cool, i should find a way to post it. well, i gotta go. i'll post more later!

Arizona Sky

Here are some pictures from tonights sunset! it was so pretty i had to take some pictures. i cant believe it but i think today marks our one year since we moved away from salt lake. wow. we have officially been residents of Arizona for one year. i think its okay. its nice, i actually havnt missed the snow. i really love the weather this time of year, its perfect. i did miss the fall with all the leaves changing and that, but i dont miss icy roads and freezing hands and fierce arctic winds, and icy snow getting in your shoes. i like wearing sandals, and not worrying about a coat, and walking outside at night, and being able to do outdoor things. So here it is!

Late Valentines

Me and dan were sick on valentines , so ours will be probably like friday. other than that , not much has been going on. a lot of little things have been going on to keep us busy, just nothing that interesting. anyways, nothin else to say. dan is pretty upset i didnt capitalize him. haha hes pretty funny.

Bully

Today i was subbing at Cactus Middle School. everything went pretty well, i was a sub for the boys class (they have 2 girls and 2 boys classes during each hour, and since they separate them into genders, i just waited for them to dress in the girls locker room), anyways, everything was going pretty well, until we went out to play basketball, and one kid, the biggest kid in the class (wears glasses), comes walking toward me with tears streaming down his cheeks. these are 6th graders by the way. and so i ask him, whats wrong? and hes so upset he cant talk for a few minutes, but i get the idea its not physical hurt. and so he says some kid was calling him fat, and saying they dont want his fat *** playing with them. i was furious. i called the kid over that was name calling and asked him why he would do that, its hurtful, its mean, and the kid said he did that jokingly, i was just like WELL HE"S NOT LAUGHIN. i let the kid know i was pretty mad. i was so sad for the fat kid , it made me want to cry. so i wrote the namer caller kid up. well, i had the other boys gym teacher write him up. poor kid, i wasnt sure what to say to him, he was obviously overwieght. and the kid calling him fat was skin and bone. so i just told him to shake it off, and that it didnt matter what other kids said... anyways, so now tonight we are going up to the temple in mesa. dan is working out in the yard, its a great day out, but i've been outside most of the day, and i think im gona take a little nap. oh ps i found out casa grande DOES have city softball leagues. i need to call and see about that. so if you want to play with us, and live here, leave me your name on a comment or call me!

Lassen Volcanic

Lassen Peak reflected in the waters of Manzanita Lake. Before Mt. St Helens stole its thunder in 1980, Lassen Peak in northern California boasted the most recent volcanic eruption in the lower 48. (that was taken from my book i got the picture out of. credits go to Susan Burke). alright. it was fun, i liked working more with the foliage and snow, i had never done anything with snow, and i've always thought about it. i was really practicing using as many different shades as i could , i was consciencly remixing and dabbing in colors all over the palett. Well, gotta go.

Wah-LA

here is the last painting i've done. i did it on Febuary 4 2006. woa!! i didnt even notice that. 02-04-06. Wow. i didnt even mean to do that! its F8. remember mare? hehe. one time me and mary were flying to anchorage and we just decided to sit down in the minneapolis (i believe it was minneapolis) airport at this one gate that had nobody else there and rest. so then we decide to start looking for our gate, and what you do know? its right where we were sitting. what are the odds of that? but wait- it gets better. i look at the gate number, its F8. (get it, Fate). wow. i tell ya wow. i'm sure crazier things have happened. but this ones pretty crazy. like 02-04-06. what better way to remember what day i painted this picture? anyways. can anybody guess what this picture is of? its done from a photo. and even the state it is in would maybe count..we'll see who knows their mountains. this one has significane over Mt. St. Helens... that is your LAST clue!!! i might have to redo some of this painting.. does anybody else see a flaw in the reflection? well, now you all will. so i better go correct it as best as i can. the paint is PRETTY thick.
