OUR NEW BLOG

HEY EVERYBODY.  I finally broke down. I created another blog. it was done with much hesitation and much reservation. It was so hard to think of not blogging on our first blog. it was started way back in January 2005. its been a good run. so I didn't realize that by creating a new blog, I also had to create a new email address too. which is very annoying. but please do update our new blog to your lists, i do love comments and viewers! here is the new blog.  www.dcjacobson.blogspot.com
please be patient while i get things like music and pictures up. but for now, it'll have to do. i feel like im moving to a new house, only i think its almost just as sad to move from our blog than it has been to move from any house. i guess i've really grown attached and comfortable here. anyways, so go on. its time to move....oh and if you have a private blog please add my new email address cassiegirl007@gmail.com. thnx!

Swiss Days 09

So another year, means another year at swiss days over Labor Day weekend! its always fun to go to Midway and just relax with family. we stayed at the Homestead "one of Americas Classic Country Resorts".  we went swimming, dan and sam played shuffleboard, we fed the ducks (and some LARGE cat fish and goldfish!) went to walk thru the tons of booths set up, ate breakfast down by the booths, watched the parade, drove home and stopped at Cascade Springs and did a short little hike to see the springs, but unfortunately a huge fire had swept thru not too long ago, so the big trees had been gone, but it was fun anyways, hiking was one of the things i loved about my childhood, and i want to keep that tradition in our family. its a great way to stay in shape and enjoy nature. so i think from now on i would like to take a couple trips to Zion each year, and explore more hikes around here and go up to the tetons here and there. And i'm out of photo room. so you will get a couple pics, but I am figuring out what to do now. probably create another blog. but that is so annoying. i like MY blog how it is.ok so after rooting around this website, i found my storage, i am currently using 1 GB of 1 GB of storage. so for $20 per year i could upgrade to 10 GB, or i could just start a new blog... i will probably have to start a new blog. and i'll try to decide quickly so i can post some pictures for you to see.

these pics were taken aug 18 2009. abby at 5 months old! i like playing with picnik as you can see. well, i've got to go. not much time for blogging. however, dan did start his new job today. that was nice.   dan is at a football game tonight, the utes vs somebody.... i am not sure who. so i know hes been stoked for football season to start, its like one of his most favorite things ever. besides me and the kids of course. andrew went to bed pretty nicely tonight. that was nice...and now what to do? i think i'll go rock abby and maybe watch some Funny Girl or something. i always watch that when dan isn't home, because its my favorite movie, and he never really wants to watch it. well, ya so i better get going!

Livin the dream...

abby keeps her legs up a lot of the time when she sleeps, its pretty cute. shes just such a cute fun baby!

 okay so maybe I"M not so much livin this dream yet (having my own private pool, hot tub, slide, theater room, huge nice house...), but it was fun for an afternoon!!
So today we went over to Heidi and Buzz Carlson's uncles house, which is AWESOME....it had a pool with a vanishing edge, and a stone hot hub, and a slide as you can see, it was amazing. so was the house. wow.  someday i would LOVE to live in a house like that. wouldn't anybody though? but it was ridiculously nice. i loved it... salt water pool , so much better for the kids than chlorine!! ahhh, it was nice.  i could have stayed all day. thanks heidi for calling us to invite us over!!! it was SOOO much fun. i love pools. when i'm rich someday, i will have a pool like this. i'm one of those people who would actually use the pool almost everyday in the summer. andrew has also found a new best friend, Buzz, who he calls "Bun" , it took me a while to stop laughing the first time he said it. its a nickname from a nickname. he just LOVES his bun though, its cute. he loved riding the aligator too. and i fear soon i will have to have a new blog,  i am about out of space. it makes me sick to think of having to do that. i keep thinking "is there no other way?". i think for a price there is another way. but oh well... so enjoy our pics, we've had fun seeing heidi and buzz! we spent most of yesterday with them too at our place! and doesn't dan look great!? i think so.

and it was somewhat tricky getting these, she is still slightly wobbly sitting upright on her own, and so i had to juggle getting back far enough to get her in the picture, and not getting too far back and having her topple into the dirt, and the grass what somewhat dewing and cold so she was being a good sport. but i still chopped off the little feet in a lot of these pictures....

i like these brother/sister ones.

i just should have taken off the shoes on andrew. bare feet would have been much cuter. note taken...

sorry for the people in the background in this one, it makes it look a little junky, but i like the picture. and since i had both kids, it wasn't worth trying it again. i barely got andrew to stand still long enough for this one ;) . the gardens are a big place and andrew LOVES to run and burn off some energy there!

So we went to the gardens again on tuesday, and on wednesday we took the kids to the pool at the gym because dan had a free pass! they loved it. i am going to miss going to the pool when fall sets in. i feel like i didnt get nearly as much pool time as i would have liked. its one of my favorite things about summer, going swimming. next summer i really hope we can go to a beach somewhere. so here are some pictures. i am very happy with how they turned out. and just to let you all know, if you are looking for a great camera, i think the one i have decided would be great for me (because it has video, and i like to have that handy at times), and it has 15.1 megapixels, and its a dslr, its the canon rebel t1i, and costco has it for $799 WITH a free printer until the 30ths of sept. wow! what a deal! anyways, life is good. i think today we may hit the pool again with another free pass, and then go to bbq with dans dad and the jacobson crew. and i got a bowdabra. and some ribbon yesterday, micheals had some clearance ones that were WAY cute, so i got just a couple. and i got 2 big flowers to try making into clips for her headband. now i just need to get a bag of little rhinestones to put in the middle. how exciting!!! anybody want to do bows with me...LET ME KnOW!
