Summertime...and the livin's easy...

today we were going to go to the Draper pool, we walked all the way there, only to find out they charge for kids under 2, so i hadn't planned on that, so we walked home, i was worried andrew would freak out once we started leaving, but didn't! :) pleasant surprise. so we came home and played in his little kiddie pool. abby fell asleep kind of quickly and then andrew had most of his fun dumping water on me. which felt great most of the time because it was very hot outside!
waiting for the train to take us back to Little American where we parked...heading home after a great night at the concert in the park! i am totally loving summer time. i wish it was always summer. maybe i am more of an arizona type than i thought. but then again, the things i am loving about this summer are the parades (another one this saturday), hanging out with family at BBQs and pools, and all the summer clothes. and some of those things i wouldn't have in arizona...
aww is her face just the sweetest thing or what there? she was sooo tired, and her little eyes are such a dead giveaway. she had been screaming at the beginning of the concert and then at the end, she seems to do that when we are in public sometimes i think because of the noise, she has a hard time sleeping and when she can't sleep and its loud she just loses it.

holding tightly to her little blanky.
at the concert for One Clear Voice, it was free downtown at the Brigham Young Historic Park last night, very fun!!!
andrew thought it was fun playing with the umbrella
walking to the Trax Train station. andrews favorite. he also has been now asking to ride the bus. what a treat that would be ! haha.
yesterday andrew saw me making cookies, and my mom gave me a great idea, he wanted to help but was getting stuff EVERYWHERE, so she told me when we were little she would give us our own little bowl to stir and knead or whatever she was doing. so i got him a bowl and just put some flour, sugar and some chocolate chips in it, and he was very content for a long time stirring that mixture and eating the chocolate chips. anyways, when the cookies were done it was lunch time, so i tried to get him to eat some pasta. but all he wanted was COOKIES! so after like an hour, i said "okay if you're not going to eat your pasta i will put it away". so then he thought he was getting a cookie so he started chanting softing "tutie tutie tutie" and i couldn't handle it, i started laughing pretty hard over that one, and so i finally just gave in and gave him a cookie. lesson learned- don't make cookies before lunch time!!! anyways, so i took a picture because he was SO happy to finally get his tuties.
