here is the underpainting, i do this every time i paint a picture, i usually use terra rosa for color, and do a monochromatic sketch to block in my picture. i try to make sure i have the right shapes and shadows. sometimes i like the underpainting just as much the painting, just because its the time when you need to get things right. and when its right, it feels good!
