Snow Day, Medicine Man and Finally a Recipe for Alfredo Sauce that WORKS!

So. sunday was yet another SNOW DAY. snow all day long! we got so much , dan shoveled and shoveled again... heres a few pics from that.
Next we have Medicine Man. dan called him that this morning because he was packing around his benadryl in one hand, and he ALWAYS seems to be packing some sort of medicinal item, such as benadryl, baby IBprofin, saline spray, nose sucker, teething tablets, ANYTHING we have used or could use on him he wants control of. and he gets pretty upset if we take it, or we use in on him. he likes to maintain control...
and an alfredo sauce maaret gave me, i had given up! i thought it was not to be that i make good alfredo sauce. but then maaret goes and give me something like this, and I TOTALLY REDEEM MYSELF! So here it is for all the world to see:
1 cup cream
1 cup milk (i used 1%)
1/4 c butter
1/4 c flour
1/2 cup parmesean cheese
and sprinkle in some garlic powder if you like.

So make a roo (or rue?) of the flour and butter, melt the butter , then add the flour and stir with a wisk until creamy, then slowly add the cream and milk, so it thickens as its cooked on a medium heat so as not to boil. then turn off the heat and add the parmesean cheese (1/2 cup was just a starting point, feel free to add more or less (why would anyone add less? i dont know..) to your taste. AND to REALLY make it just taste heavenly, add some FRESHLY GRATED (by this i mean YOU GRATE IT YOURSELF) parmesean cheese! WHOLY COW! (haha no pun intended...) i had no idea parmesean (or i forgot) could taste so good! i bought the parmesean that comes in a cube, brick, whatever you want to call it, and when i grated some on top, i thought to myself "CASS YOU"VE OUTDONE YOURSELF!". makes up a little for all the past times trying i had done so poorly... so there you have it.
andrew still has a cold by the way, but still fairly cheerful and happy. just really stuffy. no worries though, i got some more vapor baby bath today and we will be giving him a bath in it shortly! for now, hes enjoying crawling around with his sock in his mouth... something he finds appealing about that. Alfredo i think IS my favorite food. "and friday night IS the loneliest night of the week" who can name that movie?
