A Day In DC
So today was the day I went to the National Mall. Well it was more the Cherry Blossom festival, only sadly there was a big storm last night that blew all the cherry blossoms off the trees, they were at the end of their rope anyways, it officially ends tomarrow, and so we only saw 1 tree with any blossoms. we at first kept thinking, Where are the Cherry Trees?! then we realized we WERE among them, only the blossoms were long gone. but it was still fun, we got my favorite, Funnel Cakes, and looked at all the japanese shops along the streets which were all closed off, and just enjoyed the festivities. it was really fun, i met a new girl , shes the only wife here i guess, and she was really fun, so i am glad. i have a friend now! and she has a 17 mo old little boy who is really cute, and looks like him and andy could be good friends. so i imagine we'll get to know them pretty well since we live in the same apt complex, and we both will be going swimming a lot this summer. her name is heather, and she is also 5 mo prego with a little girl (just found out yesterday). so anyways, it was a fun day, the metro (like a subway) was cool, it sorta freaked me out to have no fence , when it comes it COMES and its RIGHT there, you could reach out a touch it if you were stupid. SO if you are wondering how i got pictures, i figured out how to post from my PHONE! wahooo! yah it was actually funny, i thought "oh heather will have a camera" but actually hers got lost or something, so we were both out of luck. but i still got some. Well, im going to wrap it up. im kinda mad, dans group he sells with is always out really late, like 10 or 11:30 even two nites ago. thats LATE. but CONGRATS to DAN! he got a sale today!! WAHOO!
