Abigial Turns 5 Months old! (yesterday)

doing one of her favorite things- giving herself the binky. she really doens't like when you try to give it to her, she wants to do it herself, and many times will refuse it if you try to do it for her.
i think its funny she she lifts her cheeks up, because they are so big! we always joke that that's where she stores her extra milk.


i'm not sure how this one got grainy like that , but its kinda cool...i guess, since there isn't anything i can do about it.




i found the "RETOUCH" button! wahoo! i never utilized it until now, i didn't realize what it could do! abby had scratched her face between her nose and mouth, but you'd never know it! i was able to take the scratch off ! and the background is somewhat blurry because it was wrinkled, but i tried to retouch the wrinkles out, and i think im happy with the outcome. just can't wait for a new camera. i look at these pictures and they just dont look SHARP to me.

i hate it when the headband is over her ears and i don't catch it in time. drives me crazy!


So yesterday abby turned 5 months old! but i didnt post yesterday because i had too much computer time taking her pictures and what not, and i felt very disconnected from my family, so we needed some quality time. we went for a walk, andrew pushed his little car, and abby rode in the bertini. then we played ball, and after that got andrew to bed. i'm wondering if he still feels the effect of being sick on sunday, hes just been SOOOO whiny. WAAAAY more than normal. hes just been fussy over everything. not wanting to eat a whole lot, and just hysterical over everything. it could also be molars maybe? he hasn't gotten all 4 in (the 2nd molars.)
SPEAKING of teeth, abby got her FIRST TOOTH yesterday as well! first tooth on her 5 mo birthday!!! i wash SHOCKED. wow! a tooth?! she's not my LITTLE baby anymore, little babies don't have TEETH! As for a little report on what she's like at 5 months-
Goes to sleep anywhere between 9-11 pm. really varies on the night and what we've been up to that day. she naps a good 3 times a day, lots of times she just cat naps. but usually takes a good nap that is at least like 2 hrs once , often twice a day. she's a great napper. just wakes up easily if we go places and that sort of thing. she sleeps most of the time thru the night. sometimes she wakes up to eat around 4, but i try to just give her the binky, and sometimes i can keep doing that until 6 or 7. she can hold her head up really well when she is on her tummy now, and can even use both arms to reach for something. she also can sit for quite a while if her hands are in front of her to help support her weight, and she keeps her head straight and up. she has rolled over 1 time from front to back, and 1 time from back to front. she LOVES handling things in her hands or feet, and loves any toys that rattle or make noise, but she still has the startle reflex, so she doesn't like things too close when they are rattling...and thats our 5 month old! Abby weighed 16.8 pounds this morning with a clean diaper and pjs on.
