Last Call

Alright, well this is the last post before the baby! a little update first on the house situation, we are probably closing monday. tomarrow is possible, but not probable, we are thinking it will be monday. as for the baby coming tomarrow. im happy, and excited, and nervous. the pregnancy has been good, its definatly different than not being pregnant, but maybe trying for so long to get pregnant made the little inconveniences of pregnancy stay to the back of my mind. im still amazed that there is a living baby in my belly. and that i was able to bring him here to earth. its like seeing the circle of life thru me. its pretty amazing that God has given this gift to women, even ones that dont in our opinions deserve the babies they get. but its pretty significant that He has given that gift to almost all women if they want it. i mean, that is the most precious gift available. there is a quote i liked "A Baby is God's opinion that the world should go on. Never will a time come when the most marvelous recent invention is as marvelous as a newborn baby." So in my mind, pregnancy is one of the greatest blessings i've ever recieved. its something i've always dreamed of since i can remember. i always wondered what my babies would look like, and having one of my own to take home was always somethng i knew i wanted more than almost anything. so tomarrow will mark a huge day for me. and dan. he's gona be a great dad. today i was saying i should have had my hair touched up since its growing out and i wont be able to go in for a while, and dan said maybe he could take the baby to a movie- you know a cartoon- something he would like while i get my hair done. hahah. he was kidding. but i thought it was funny... anyways, i just thought i would leave my thoughts on my pregnancy one last time since next time i post i wont be pregnant. thats hard to believe, i feel like i've been pregnant so long. it has been 41 weeks... its hard to imagine life without a belly- with pants that button or zip, or that even stay up without rolling down below my belly... and shirts that dont always have to be pulled down... and sleeping any way i want to! it will be so much easier to get up and down... anyways. Good night! we are making Lettuce Wraps tonight for dinner, so that should be good:)

Labor Day

Well it looks like i might have this baby this week. i called my doctors office this morning first thing when they opened, and they called me back and said i am scheduled for induction friday april 6 at 7 am. YAY!! i dont think its gona sink in though. it just doesnt feel like i will really have a baby. i feel like i will be pregnant forever....so anyways! unless i go into labor on my own (which i am highly doubting), i will be having the baby friday.oh, and we are closing i am pretty sure on our house tomarrow and doing our final walk thru tomarrow.

Walk thru

Front Room

Front Room again

Family room and dining area

Dans Den, off from family room

Kitchen

Here are some pictures from the walk thru at the house today. we asked them if we could move the walk thru to today because it was scheduled for tomarrow, and i may have my baby this month, so with any luck, i wont be available tomarrow. i went into my doctors appt today, and im still at 1 cm, and 70% effaced, and the babys position he said was -1 (which means he dropped more). so they are scheduling an induction since my body's not getting the hint that its supposed to be doing something here. they said the latest would be friday, but that if the hospital had openings earlier they would let us know, so im gona call them before 5 tonight and see if they had any openings earlier (PRAY THEY DO!!!). i was REALLY hoping the doctor would accidentally break my water during my appt today. i told him it was okay with me if that accidentally happened, but it didnt. so i was sorely disappointed. i woke up this morning with the song from willy wonka "I want it now" in my head. anyways, so i will update and let you know as soon as i know. Oh the new address will be 1236 W Beacon Court. Same city, state and zip as now.

Easter Pageant

Here are a couple pictures from the Easter Pageant we saw last night at the Mesa Temple grounds. its such a great pageant!! its our 3rd time going. we got great seats too- 3rd row, dan went with the young men and i went along. it is the largest annual outdoor Easter Pageant in the world!! just so you know. haha notice in the picture the pizza in dans hand. we tried to hide those, we were eating dinner, but wanted a picture before the sun went down. haha so it didnt quite work out the way we wanted...
Anyways, other news- i had a doctors appt today, and he said i was dialated (YAY) to a 1, (im not sure if that was before the appt or after he was done), and that i was 60% effaced. so YAY!! and while he was feeling the baby (he guessed was around upper 7s, low 8s (lbs)), he felt my stomach contract, and said that it was a good contraction. which i had a lot, just they dont hurt. but they are doing something i guess so thats good! and he also said when he was checking my dialation, he felt the babys head. so thats crazy!!! so hopefully i will have this baby before long. he said if i didnt have it by monday (and hes not on call this weekend he said so he wouldnt be delivering) he made me make an appt for monday to schedule an induction date (and also do some tests on the baby they said). the last 3 weeks i havnt gained any wieght, i've actually lost about a pound. but i gained 4 pounds 4 weeks ago, in one week... and the baby is still getting bigger im pretty sure, and moving, so im not worried about that. since tomarrow is my due date they would induce me a week from tomarrow if need be. so but i dont want to have to be induced so lets hope i just have the baby. like monday would be good. because then mom and mary would be here, and i think my doctor would be delivering it.

Ready to go!

well, i assembled the bassinet today. all by myself! the color is a lot brighter than i thought it would be, they said "sage green" but its sort of lime green... oh well, its still cute, and i think it will be good. so here are a few pictures, and we got rain last week! can you believe it? i couldnt...its got to have been months since we saw rain. so i thought it worthy to share. oh, and good news- i DONT have to have reference letters (not that i think they would have been hard to procure), and i dont have to get a 10 year history together. that was only if i had committed a felony;) all i have to do is go to the class i signed up for friday from 8:30-2:30, and send in my paperwork from the school and testing center, and a sheet from my broker i will be under. yay! less hassle. so the baby REALLY will be welcome anytime after 2:30 friday on....hope he heard that;) he's really getting big and running out of room. the bassinet really does looks much brighter in person, in the picture here it looks very neutral... and i included a few pictures of jinxy for fun.

Big News!

okay here is the big "little" news!! tom and michelle had their little girl!!! she was 6 lbs 6 oz i think, tom sent me a picture on my phone, but im not sure how to get it on here. she is adorable though!! michelle had a C section this morning (it was planned because baby was breach). i havnt heard a definate name yet, but i think they were liking MacKenzie (however you spell that), last time i heard. so that is some VERY exciting news!!! i wish i could be up there to see her. my doctor told me 3 weeks ago my baby was in the upper 6's, so i really hope he was wrong. my next appt by the way is thurs at 11:30 am. so wish me luck that its my last!!!
some other good news for me today is i took the state exams (2- national and state portions) and i PASSED!!! so thats good news. i felt pretty good about it. and the people on the phone were idiots i talked to yesterday, you CAN use the bathroom and get a drink if you need, you just have to sign out and sign in again. but its possible. and the test did not take me 3 1/2 hrs, it only took me an hour and 45 minutes. (for both). so that was nice as well. i felt so much more calm this time taking the test than at the school. i studied a lot yesterday, and i slept until 5 or 5:30, and then at 6:10 i decided i wasnt going back to sleep (i had set my alarm for 7), so i got up and studied some more, made a whole wheat buttermilk waffle, but i was trying my best not to drink much so i wouldnt have to pee, and so i was just sipping water to keep my throat from being dry (because i DO drink tons of water... im always thirsty), so in that respect i wish i had known i can drink water...anyways its all done !! now i have the class friday (6 hrs about contract law or something) so hopefully after that the baby will realize that we're ready for him and get a move on it! we got the bassinet yesterday too! it smells really strong (like from the packaging) so im going to wash it before i put it together, so tomarrow i will post a picture of it. Later!

State Test

Well, i am scheduled for my state test tomarrow morning at 9 am. (thats tues). please wish me good luck, as it is a 3 1/2 hr exam and i was told i would not be given a break during the exam. they said not even for a bathroom break. is that even legal? i told them i was pregnant, and they said it would take 7-10 days to approve the special condition, and since i am due on friday that would be pointless, plus that would just give me time to forget everything...so i may tell them if i really have to pee they will have a wet chair. so wish me good luck, because its $90 to take the test if i dont pass the first time... then after the state test is passed, i have a 6 hour class i have to take (hoping to take friday), and then i have to gather reference letters and 10 year history. im really hoping to get this whole process over with soon... well, thats it for now, im gona go study.

I PASSED!

SO this morning i had my school test, who one instructor said only 30% pass on the first try. i passed with an 80.5% out of 200 questions! so im glad. i had to get a 75% to pass. it took me about 3 hours and 15 minutes, they allow 4. the state test is the same number of questions (200) and the school has said it is easier than the school test. so hopefully that proves to be true! im so happy i passed that one. i studied a lot yesterday , but there is so much to study i couldnt cover EVERYTHING. plus i found yesterday 3 big booklets that said "answer these questions and read this before taking the school or state exam". i hadnt read any of them. so dan started asking me questions last night from one of them. (i didnt discover the other 2 until this morning, so i didnt even look at those ones). but i attribute my passing grade to paying attention in class and taking notes, and praying. all night i was having dreams of just questions being asked , and i dont think they were really all about real estate, because i was so confused at some of them, and then sometime i woke up (i think around midnight) and i was very stressed and nervous about the test, and then it was like the thought came into my mind "you already have the assurance you will pass the test" , and i was like "yeah"(maybe i should listen more closely the first time?), and then i went to sleep and wasn't bothered anymore. what a nice blessing. and then i woke up at like 3:30 or something and couldnt fall asleep, so i got up around 4 and ate some life cereal, and then went over some of my note packets again until 5, and then went in to bed, but i never fell back asleep (even though i was exhausted)and my alarm went off at 6:30, so i just got up. i had to be to the testing center in gilbert at 8:45, so i made it there with a couple minutes to spare. i left earlier than normal because it was thundering when i woke up, and has been rainy all day. the baby was moving a LOT during the day today. especially during the test and on the way home, and he's still pretty awake, it feels like hes thinking "i know theres a way out if i can just find it!" hahaha, because he was pushing and moving in every direction. the doctor yesterday said the baby is pretty low, i dont know if he just said that to make me feel better or if he's really low.... i cant tell. but i dont have heartburn anymore which is nice. im not dialated or anything, but he said my cervix is softer. so thats good. i have ONE more week!!! tomarrow (friday) i will be 39 weeks! yahoo:) almost there. my next doctors appt is in one week, so he said we would discuss more about when and if i would be induced (not more than a week overdue though). so wish me luck that i dont have to be induced. i dont want that. i want to have him on or before my due date... so we'll see. oh, and we went by our house yesterday and they have the carpet in! we are supposed to close on the 4th i think and move in 6th... :) cya later...ps i ordered a bassinett! i will post a picture when it comes. its gona be very cute.

POLL

here is a quick poll. i was looking at the pictures i just posted, and i thought- there is not much time before i will never be pregnant with that baby again. and we will always know what he looks like , and right now, we dont really have any idea. the 3D photo was months ago, and im sure he will look much different when he's born. plus we couldnt tell too much from that picture. so heres a quick poll, who thinks he will have hair? will he look more like me , or dan? any guesses on his length and weight? his birthday? winner gets to come visit me! (probably at their expense. depending on if you live in casa grande or not...)

Almost 38 weeks

well, friday i will be 38 weeks. but i dont think i will have time to post before then so i will update you now. i had my doctors checkup today, nothing. nothing nothing nothing. but on the bright side, i havnt had any painful contractions or anything so thats good, because maybe when i do go into labor it will be quick. doubtful, but possible... anyways, school is going well. i am understanding the classes better. that might be because this week started on Chapter 1, whereas i came in on chapter 18 for my first class (they jsut throw you in there and you eventually get all classes)... so but thats good to be almost done. then i have my last class tomarrow, then i have to study and pass the school test, then the state exam, and get my license. the baby is moving plenty, and hes definatly getting bigger. his little kicks and squirms are much more strong, and its hard for him to hide. it keeps me entertained in class to feel his moving around, he seems to be trying to keep awake during them as well:). its funny cause i think he gets hungary when i do. or maybe when i have an empty stomach he just has room to move. it seems when i am hungry he's moving a ton, and then when i eat it puts him to sleep. for a little while. well, the house is coming along, we drove by today and looked thru the windows, the tile was grouted. and dad- formica countertops , upgraded a bit to be shinnier and supposed to be stronger... and the tile is not as smooth as our tile now, our tile now is very very smooth, this tile has a little more texture. but not rough. and i think a while ago you asked about a gated community- nope. just normal. no key or gate to enter. well, that about covers it! here are some pictures.

Home again

Well, we went to vegas this past weekend, not too planned. we didnt know if we would even be able to go, but my doctor said wednesday that i wasnt dilated or effaced at all, so we went, and everything was fine. we met up crystal and jeremy and dan went to a game with jeremy, and we walked around the strip, watched the fountains at the bellagio, went to the rio buffet, went swimming at the hotel and ended up seeing dans dad who was in town also. then we came home today (sunday) and it feels good to be home. it was nice though to just have a little vacation and not worry to much about anything. we forgot our camera for most of the trip in the car (which was parked at the hotel) so i dont have any exciting pictures, although i think everybody's seen vegas. its got some neat architecture but a lot of it is urban blight anyways. i recommend the Tahiti Village (where jeremy and crystal stayed, and we stayed with them friday night). there is no casino in it at all! and its really nice, the pool (i will put a couple pictures of it up) is nice, and they have a real sand beach which is kinda fun! and our house is coming along well, they have the tile in, and cabinets and countertops, and its painted, lights up, just needs carpet and toilets and grout! other than that i think its done, oh and they have yet to paint our shutter on the front green to match th others, they put those shutters up after the other ones... anyways, tomarrow is school , and only 3 more days of school left! yay!!! oh yah, and i HAVE been having braxton hicks contractions, i didnt realize it, but in vegas i was just saying how hard my stomach was, and crystal felt it, and told me that was a contraction, but i never realized that because i thought it was just the baby stretching out or something. but after she pointed that out, i have noticed them not a whole lot , but defintatly a handful of times thru out the day. they seem to come in bunches. so that was kinda wierd, they dont hurt at all, so thats probably another reason i didnt realize i was having them. i am 37 weeks now by the way! so anytime now is fine to have the baby because he's full term. the doctor said he thought he was around the high 6's (pounds). anyways, later! will probably be busy this week with school so i may not post for a little bit. oh by the way, the baby is crystal and jeremy's new baby girl, born jan 3rd, she is really cute! her name is kjersti (sp?)

36 Weeks

here i am at 36 weeks. i am wearing a dress my mom gave me, although i think its too small, its tight when i sit down and its not stretchy material... so i think it will have to wait until after the baby from now on, i did get complements though! i took these pictures tonight. we just got back from dans home teaching, he doesnt have a partner so i went with him.

A little update.

i am 36 weeks now. i will be 37 weeks on friday!!! so we are in the last month of pregnancy now! and that is exciting. This last week i completed my first of 3 weeks of real estate school. that was very busy, and entails much more than i thought it would. i have class again this next week, mon tues and thurs from 8-5 again in gilbert. so that will keep me busy. hopefully by the end of this week i will understand a lot more, right now i still have a lot to learn, there are lots of rules and numbers and formulas i need to know for the test. anyways, church was good today, and we got to go the temple yesterday, dan was with the young mens doing baptisms and me and another girl in the ward whose husband was doing baptisms with dan went to the temple. so thats always nice. it was a pretty day outside, a little on the chilly side, because of the wind. anyways, Happy March to everybody! oh and 2 things about todays date: 1) its 3/4/07, 3+4=7, and 2) March 4th, as we learned in relief society today can also be a phrase, like March Fo(u)rth!!.

Some more!

Wow this house is getting done really fast now! i was surprised at how much had been done since last time i looked, it looks like its painted inside, at least the primer, and we have a driveway, and they are tiling the roof, and the outside's painted, and we have a gate for our fence! how exciting! i will be 36 weeks pregnant on friday by the way:) after 37 weeks the baby is not considered early. :) and a HAPPPY BIRTHDAY to jenny mclean!!! its her birthday today!and her new baby Sophia Marie is 10 days old today. oh, and i posted pictures and a bit about school yesterday, so you can look below at the last post for those. oh, and there were workers there today so we couldnt take pictures of the inside (even though the door was open! i think there were workers in there at the time...)

Real Estate

So i am in real estate school. for the last 2 days, i went to 4 , 4 hour classes. so 8 hrs each day. and i have got to get bigger pants, although i think i will just go to like sweat pants or something, because sitting there all day the band on my maternity pants was way too tight on the bottom of my stomach, and it wont stay up anywhere else. and it was driving me crazy. but other than that, school has been interesting. i dont know why more realtors dont understand investing, we have talked mostly about investing, how it is done, how deals are put together, what numbers have to make sense, formulas on how to calculate all sorts of costs and net operating incomes, and lots of stuff. so i have completed 2 of the 9 days of the school. wow. i dont feel that much closer to passing a test on this stuff. i havnt been able to study or do the homework, which is to my disadvantage because then i dont have any questions when they go over questions, because i havnt done it yet. but monday was very very busy, and i was sick since thurs, friday i was most sick, and sat wasnt too great, and sunday was getting somewhat better, and monday and tues, i still dont have a normal voice, and i am coughing up tons of phlegm and stuff, and that has been really annoying, to have to cough and blow my nose all thru class. but today was better. not quite as much of that... anyways, so yesterday i had to be to the school at 7:30, i got there about 7:45 , but thats okay cause it didnt start until 8. so i got registered/checked in fine. then i had class from 8-12, lunch , then class from 1-5, then dan picked me up, we went to eat at gandolfo's, then went to lamaze (our last class) from 6:30-9, and then came home. i was pretty tired, so i just went to bed. then i got back up this morning, and left about 10 after 7 for school, got there at 10 after 8, (they actually give you 20 minutes to be late!) and then had class again, lunch, and then class again til 5, and then i came home. but im a little overloaded with information right now... and lots of paperwork to catch up with. tomarrow i have off though, so that will be good. i need it! then i have class thursday again. im doing a 3 week program, mon tue and thurs for 3 weeks from 8-5. then i take a school exam (they give you 4 hours for) , and then a state exam i will have to sign up for and take for my license and that i think they give you 3 1/2 hours for. so wish me luck! this will pay off so much though when we buy and sell properties, not to mention, it will LET us find our own properties without having to rely on an agent.so that will be invaluable to our business. and here are a couple pictures of the house, its really coming along! walk thru date is april 3. the picture of the inside i took because they hung the doors and put up the moldings/trim, and textured, and also locked the doors...

The Carseat

Dan thinking....maybe a little frusterated.

So the carseat came this morning! i was very excited to open it up, and i took some pictures so you can see what it looks like. and i put one of the newborn tee's on jinxy. i thought she looked very cute in it...hahah enjoy. she's still not sure she is enjoying clothes....the camera is not reading jinxy's pictures, so i will have to try later...
