So yesterday and today have been stormy, snowy and COLD! its been relatively nice weather here this winter so far, like i would say 40s and often 50s outside for a high. its been nice...until now, its been just COLD. and i know you all reading this from North Pole (literally, the town), and Soldotna, Alaska think that our weather here is warm (and it IS for you..), but im definitely not used to it! its been really windy and snow has been blowing a lot. this weekend has been a busy one, but a fun one! thursday we went to Ring Christmas Bells (i thikn thats what it was called, i keep forgetting), on Temple Square, in the conference center. it was PACKED. we waited out in the cold (after walking several blocks from our parking spot), for like 30 minutes (i didn't plan on that, so i was freezing), and then by the time we got in it was starting, and even though we had tickets, they must have overbooked it so it would be full, because it was FULL, and they at first said "your section is full, the overflow is in the assembly hall", and i was really mad because we had tickets, but i saw the lady on the next door still letting people in so we ran to that section and told them ours was full, so they let us in and we got to be in the conference center. it was a good show... and then friday night we had jen and margo's Christmas party for their work, it was a LOT of fun. first we got dinner at the Desert Star Theater, and then a magic show (which i at first laughed at the thought of, but it was REALLy cool.), and then went into the theater part and watched a play ("dinner theater lou, DINNER THEATER!" somebody better get that line.), and we got to order whatever we wanted for the show, we all got smoothies except jen, she got pink lemonade... and it was fun. then we had tom and michelle's annual Christmas party on saturday night, and that was also a lot of fun! GREAT food, fun games! (i think my favorite was the ornament exchange, although we left early because there was supposed to be bad weather, good thing i did too because even though it was clear down in eagle mountain, it was snowing up here.), but andrew had fun too with the girls, loves following them around and chasing each other around the house. it was a great night. and then this morning, we found the remaining bolts to our bed, so we put that up, even though the posts are too tall for our ceilings, so i just left them off (:(( so no canopy. very sad. but i just feel like i would be cutting off my own arm if i removed the tips so it could go up. i just love that bed..its such a peice of art (haha i mistyped at first and wrote "rat". SUCH a different meaning!). well, dan is at work today. thats good for us even though we miss him. andy went to nursery again (although barely), and i'm just here updating my blog. so here are some pictures, i didnt have my camera for any of our parties, michelle im sure will do a great job of posting pics, so check out toms and michelle's blog for that, and the other parties i'll just have to remember;)
